The Chaco site is an incredibly unique remnant of the ancestral puebloan civilization. A combination of carefully restored structures, ruins and unexcavated sites, it is a place that can be explored for days. It is easily accessible but in a remote location within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation. Chaco is protected as a UNESCO site and managed by the National Park Service.
