Location: Nevada Genre: Mining Town
This well-preserved site on the edge of Death Valley, is a great example of a fully developed mining boom town. It is easily accessible and has great photogenic structures still standing in various stages of ruin, as well as some other interesting nearby sites. Rhyolite is on a mixture of federal and private land, and is not actually within the boundary of Death Valley National Park. (see the Full Article link below for more details and photos).
